Columbus Fun!

Image
This week I had a girls night in Columbus Ohio. Columbus is one of my favorite cities in Ohio because there is always something new to do and experience. During this trip my friends and I were excited to try a Mexican restaurant up in Easton called Conandos. Conandos is a vibrant and fun venue and the food is delicious and surprisingly cheap! I got a taco bowl and shared chips and salsa among my friends and my overall price was around $5.  After dinner we ran into Nordstrom to take part in their amazing Anniversary Sale (which I look forward to every year).  After shopping we went to centennial park (which I had only ever been to during the day). It was so beautiful at night and the weather was perfect. We got there right at sunset so we were able to enjoy the water view and all of the lights of the cityscape. After leaving the park we went to a tried and trued favorite for dessert. I am of course talking about the ever so pleasing Cheesecake Factory. Again since it was such

Pool/Beach Day Necessities

Summer is the time to relax, enjoy the sunshine, and stay cool. To make sure you don't forget anything crucial (We've all kicked ourselves for forgetting sunscreen here are a few pool or beach day essentials  A good beach bag to hold everything (This one I just bought from TJ Maxx, and I sadly couldn't find it online) A hat to protect you from the sun and to turn some heads Cute sunglasses that match whatever style you choose Obviously a cute swim suit (This one from Modcloth is one of my favorites and is currently on sale!) Sunscreen (I use Neutrogena Ultra Sheer SPF 100 which really helps protect my very fair skin without clogging my pores or leaving behind a residue) Waterproof Makeup (I don't like to wear a lot of makeup if I know I am going swimming, so a light BB cream and some waterproof mascara is all I need ( Katy Kat Mascara is my new fave and Maybelline Pure BB Cream is a tried and true must have!)  Also a light dusting of bronzer can't hurt

Happy 4th of July everyone! I hope you all have a great day tomorrow whether you are at a barbecue, watching fireworks, going to a parade, or just spending the day lounging around. Instead of doing a traditional red, white, and blue outfit I decided to do three different outfits in one color each. One outfit is red, the other blue, and the last is white. They are also different degrees of dressiness so these selection are perfect no matter what your plans are! Sadly most of these items are no longer available online but I did my best to find similar finds. BLUE: This first outfit is the most casual and is the perfect summer get up for hanging out with friends and family at a casual barbecue. Shirt: Francescas  (Same style, darker color) Shorts: Originally from TJ Maxx (I could not find these shorts anywhere, these were the closest I could find, Dillards ) Hat: Nordstrom (Same color different style) RED: This amazing dress is one of my favorites its such a great color and
