Hi! Sorry I've been gone for so long, finals and preparing for Christmas has really occupied my time. Also this year we were a little late getting our Christmas decorations up. Decorations are one of my favorite aspects about the holidays and we definitely have our own unique way of doing ours. We have two trees, one that my mom decorates and it features most of our glass and traditional ornaments as well as plenty of red baubles to fit the theme of the rest of our house. This tree also features birthday ornaments as an ode to my dad's birthday on Christmas Day. The second tree is decorated solely by yours truly and features homemade decorations from when my brother and I were kids as well as a few personal ornaments that pertain more to our interests growing up (a la this wonderful Harry Potter ornament, and this beautiful stack of books which is a new addition). Starting With the Basics

For my first official blog post I decided to start with a classic. And what is more basic and classic than a white button down shirt and jeans. I love the casual breeziness of this look and the fact that is it a true classic staple. I decided to amp up this look with a bold red lip and a large floppy hat.  This look is also perfect for this springtime, when the weather is nice but you're not quite ready for shorts and a tank just yet.  One thing you should know about me now, is that I always like to have fun with style. Whether it's fun prints, statement accessories, or bold makeup I will always do my best to bring my look up a notch but still feel comfortable and confident in my look. Because honestly it doesn't matter if you are wearing the most basic or out there thing, if you wear it with confidence you will always shine!  Tell me some of your favorite classic pieces?
