I Feel it in my Fingers I Feel it in my Toes

Hi! Sorry I've been gone for so long, finals and preparing for Christmas has really occupied my time. Also this year we were a little late getting our Christmas decorations up. Decorations are one of my favorite aspects about the holidays and we definitely have our own unique way of doing ours. We have two trees, one that my mom decorates and it features most of our glass and traditional ornaments as well as plenty of red baubles to fit the theme of the rest of our house. This tree also features birthday ornaments as an ode to my dad's birthday on Christmas Day. The second tree is decorated solely by yours truly and features homemade decorations from when my brother and I were kids as well as a few personal ornaments that pertain more to our interests growing up (a la this wonderful Harry Potter ornament, and this beautiful stack of books which is a new addition). It Begins With a Tree

I am one of those people that the second Thanksgiving is over I start focusing on Christmas. As much as I love Thanksgiving, Christmas is truly my favorite time of the year. So what better way to begin the Christmas season than by getting a Christmas Tree. Getting the tree is one of my favorite traditions and this year. Every year we go to Walsh Tree Farm in St. Louisville which has a huge and wonderful selection of pre-cut and cut your own trees. After we get our tree we go to the Granville Inn (which is already decked out for the holidays) for dinner. All the way there and all the way back we listened to Christmas music. There is still so much to do before Christmas, including the shopping, decorating, and of course studying for finals. Every year the Christmas season goes by quicker and quicker, so I like to cherish each day. BTW this is not our tree.
