Make Up Your Mind

Image
So as much as I love summer (and I truly do) it has looong overstayed its welcome. Everywhere I look its pumpkin spice, halloween, and scarves but I can't enjoy any of it because its 90 degrees outside.  On the plus side I have more opportunities to wear some of my summer clothes for a little while longer. Like this light blue halter top from Franscescas that I adore. This weekend it was around 86 degrees so while I did enjoy wearing my pastel blue and white I knew I needed an autumn flair to my wardrobe. Its time for breezy days cool nights and a valid excuse for me to buy all of my favorite fall colors and decorations. I've been able to maintain a autumn aesthetic by using a lot of rustic fall colors, especially in my makeup. This coral lipstick is just dark enough for fall (plus it perfectly matched these gorgeous earrings! Overall while I should enjoy the nice weather while I can I am anxiously awaiting that perfect crisp fall weather. Although no matter how hot it

Evanston, More Brunch Than a Girl Can Handle

Sometimes even I need a break from downtown Chicago, which is why my recent day trip to Evanston was the perfect mini getaway. It was also the perfect opportunity to wear one of my more summery outfits during these last few warm days. I met a friend up there for brunch and I was relieved when she already had a place in mind, because there were so many breakfast and brunch restaurants it would have taken me half the day to decided. We ate at Cupitol Coffee and Eatery and I got a mimosa (its not brunch without it) and a sweet potato bowl which was way more delicious than I thought it would be. The weather outside was perfect and we were lucky enough to get a table outside. I highly recommend this place for brunch, just be prepared for a pretty big crowd or wait (nothing too bad though considering it was peak brunch hour). After brunch we walked to a bakery we had both passed called, Bennison's Bakery . Just walking by you can smell the fresh donuts so we could not resist popping

September: Never Was a Cloudy Day

Image
Hello! Yes it is September time which means autumn is upon us. September has never been my favorite month, because for me its always been just the waiting period for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and all of the amazingness that comes with them. This year though I want to enjoy September so I've created a September Bucket List that I'm posting here so that I have a reason to stick to it. Most of the things on this list are just silly and basic because this list is just about enjoying and cherishing this month that I usually just try to get through as quickly as possible. Feel free to also try and conquer some of the items on this bucket list along with me. September Bucket List Go on a late night Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate or Tea run (I hate coffee, don't shoot) Do an Autumn Photoshoot Brunch! Watch Fall Movies that ARE NOT Halloween Movie ex) Dead Poet's Society, You Got Mail,  Buy Autumn Decorations and decorate my dorm Go to a football game or baseb

Im Back Baby!

Goodbye Ohio Hello Chicago! It feels so great to be back in the city to start another school year. Junior year honestly creeped up on me so quickly I'm still in shock. Every year I'm worried about adjusting back to city life after a whole summer back in my home town and every year the second I get back I am right back in the swing of things city views I can't wait to see what this school year has in store for me. New classes, New internships, Friends old and new, and New experiences galore. Be ready for more posts coming up where I give a tour of my new crib (best decor yet), showcase my new work wardrobe, try my hand at cooking, and just share new experiences in this city I have chosen to become home. And FYI Ohio is still home to me (It is possible to have more than 1 home) 1st day of classes outfit Also I am a person who focuses more on School Year Resolutions, as opposed to New Years Resolution. This year my resolutions are to focus on my own happiness and
