It Begins With a Tree

Image
I am one of those people that the second Thanksgiving is over I start focusing on Christmas. As much as I love Thanksgiving, Christmas is truly my favorite time of the year. So what better way to begin the Christmas season than by getting a Christmas Tree. Getting the tree is one of my favorite traditions and this year. Every year we go to Walsh Tree Farm in St. Louisville which has a huge and wonderful selection of pre-cut and cut your own trees. After we get our tree we go to the Granville Inn (which is already decked out for the holidays) for dinner. All the way there and all the way back we listened to Christmas music. There is still so much to do before Christmas, including the shopping, decorating, and of course studying for finals. Every year the Christmas season goes by quicker and quicker, so I like to cherish each day. BTW this is not our tree. This is the beautiful tree in  the Granville Inn When do you start preparing for Christmas, do you have any fam

My Top Stores: Christmas Shopping Edition

Image
It may seem early for some of you, but I have already began my Christmas shopping. I like to get it done early because while I am in Chicago I have access to the most stores plus it means I won't have to worry about it during my Christmas break and can instead focus on time with family and friends (as well as the dozens of Christmas movies I HAVE to watch every year.) Here is a list of  some of my personal favorite places to buy presents for everyone on my list. Francesca's : Are you really surprised that my favorite store made it on this list! Not only does it have adorable clothes and accessories, for your loved ones and yourself ;) but it also has an accessory and home section with cute holiday themed items that make perfect stocking stuffers or small gifts! P.O.S.H .: This is my new fav that I discovered randomly while strolling in the city. It is perfect for hard to shop for parents or anyone that loves vintage items. There is only one store located in Chicago but

I apologize that I have not posted any pictures of my costume from Halloween, but I did not like how any of the pictures turned out. But now that its November I can prepare for two of my favorite holidays, Christmas and....Christmas Eve! I'm just kidding Thanksgiving I love you (almost) as much. For this journal I kept a lot of the same pages I used last month, because they actually did a great job of keeping me organized and on track with my habits and spending. So once again I have a habit tracker, expense tracker, as well as lists of possible blog posts and daily activities and meals. (BTW please don't laugh at my Snoopy parade float doodle, like I've said before I'm not an artist). I have also added two new pages to my layout. One is a weekly to do list that I will add in with these adorable sticky notes. And since it is November the other one is a daily thing that I
