My Fall Break: Doing All Things Autumn in One Weekend

Image
Ya this is about a week late, sorry but I've been pretty busy (sadly my senior thesis isn't going to write itself) But I did recently have a great Fall Break back in Ohio. During this break I succeeded in my goal to do all things Fall related. I arrived Friday night, so first on Saturday I went to the farmers market with my friend Jess. Also on Saturday my dad and I went to the Ohio State game (my first time actually attending an OSU game if you can believe it). It was so much fun we walked around beforehand and checked out the tailgating scene. Going to Loyola I miss out on football tailgating so it was great to experience it. We also saw the marching band perform before the game which was also a great experience. The actual game was a lot of fun, even though it was pretty stressful. Even though it was 80 degrees it was still a perfect fall activity. Also that weekend my family and I went to a corn maze and market. The corn maze itself was fun (not very decorated or diffi...

The Countdown Begins: December Bullet Journal

Image
Please tell me I'm not the only one who woke up on December 1st and thought to myself 'It's the first day of Christmas!' This is truly my favorite time of the year and I plan to cherish and enjoy everything single day (yes even the days when I am about to mentally lose it over finals). I of course wanted a cheerful and festive spread for my monthly bullet journal. I stuck to most of the same pages as I have previously done. I quite enjoy filling in my daily tracker, keeping a Weekly To Do List, and having a list of possible blog ideas. I did a pretty good job of keeping my bullet journal up to date last month. The only page I had issues with was the budget page (shocker shocker). This month I hope to keep better track of it and record every purchase in the journal. I have also included a Christmas Bucket List which of course will be added to as the month progresses. I'm so excited for this month and to celebrate with my friends and family and just enjoy all ...

Room Tour: College Dorm Edition

Image
I feel like I'm pretty late on this. It's only because I've been waiting until we were all decorated for Autumn and everything was put together. I share my dorm with three other roommates and I just adore what we have been able to do with this space. The main area is so cozy and chic and I finally have a dining area where I actually enjoy eating meals (P.S. the cookies on the table were provided by some of our lovely floor mates!) I love decorating for seasons and holidays so the small pumpkins everywhere really help get into the autumn spirit. We also have a Bath and Body Works plug in called Leaves that smells amazing! My bedroom is quite small but also very cosy! In it you'll find an array of random items that most likely don't mesh that well together, including my mini shrine to all things British (God Save the Queen....and Mr. Bean!) Also MORE PUMPKINS! I will admit that I mainly use my desk as a makeup table and a place to get ready in the morning...

September: Never Was a Cloudy Day

Image
Hello! Yes it is September time which means autumn is upon us. September has never been my favorite month, because for me its always been just the waiting period for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and all of the amazingness that comes with them. This year though I want to enjoy September so I've created a September Bucket List that I'm posting here so that I have a reason to stick to it. Most of the things on this list are just silly and basic because this list is just about enjoying and cherishing this month that I usually just try to get through as quickly as possible. Feel free to also try and conquer some of the items on this bucket list along with me. September Bucket List Go on a late night Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate or Tea run (I hate coffee, don't shoot) Do an Autumn Photoshoot Brunch! Watch Fall Movies that ARE NOT Halloween Movie ex) Dead Poet's Society, You Got Mail,  Buy Autumn Decorations and decorate my dorm Go to a football game or baseb...

Im Back Baby!

Image
Goodbye Ohio Hello Chicago! It feels so great to be back in the city to start another school year. Junior year honestly creeped up on me so quickly I'm still in shock. Every year I'm worried about adjusting back to city life after a whole summer back in my home town and every year the second I get back I am right back in the swing of things city views I can't wait to see what this school year has in store for me. New classes, New internships, Friends old and new, and New experiences galore. Be ready for more posts coming up where I give a tour of my new crib (best decor yet), showcase my new work wardrobe, try my hand at cooking, and just share new experiences in this city I have chosen to become home. And FYI Ohio is still home to me (It is possible to have more than 1 home) 1st day of classes outfit Also I am a person who focuses more on School Year Resolutions, as opposed to New Years Resolution. This year my resolutions are to focus on my own happiness and ...
