My Last Week In London Plus Returning Home

PS this photo is from my first week in London Well all good things must come to an end and last week my time abroad came to an end. My time in London went by so much quicker than I anticipated it would, but I still had the time of my life and I am thankful for every moment. Since I had final exams during my last week, that took up some of my time, but other than that I was determined to use my last week to visit all the stuff in London I had not had time to see yet. On Monday I spent the day in Notting Hill. Sadly since it was a weekday Portobello Market was slightly limited but it was still so much fun to stroll through all the antique shops and stands. I also adored all of the pastel colored houses in the neighborhood , it was definitely very picturesque. Also this week I finally went to the National Gallery. Churches, Castles, & a Donkey

Happy Holy Week! (Am I the only one who will be listening to the Jesus Christ Superstar soundtrack this whole week?) I hope you all had a great weekend. Before I go into my weekend I would like to express my excitement for Loyola making it to the March Madness Final Four (Go Ramblers!) Now originally I had thought about going to Budapest this past weekend, but sadly it did not work out travel wise. Instead I decided to sign up for a day trip to Leeds Castle, Canterbury, and the Cliffs of Dover. Leeds Castle is said to be the "loveliest castle in Britain" and I could see why. Not only was the castle charming but the surroundings grounds were beautiful. I even saw some wild daffodils which means spring is finally coming. We walked through the castle and I learned so much about its history and even its current use (they were setting up for a wedding later that day) After Leeds Castle we went straight to Canterbury where we immediately had lunch.
