Staying Fit in the Winter and in the New Year
Happy New Years Eve! I feel like the most common new years resolutions have to do with health and fitness so here are some tips on how to stay fit, even during these cold and dreary winter months. In the past few years I really fell in love with working out (I know gag) but it honestly makes me feel great not only physically but mentally, honestly it is my number one source of stress and anxiety relief. These tips can help you stay motivated during the first few months of your resolution. Bundle Up or Work Inside: The biggest thing keeping us from working out this time of year is the cold weather. If you enjoy running or outdoor exercise make sure to bundle up in warm fitness gear, but also remember that your body heats up as you exercise. If you can't stand the cold there are plenty of exercises you can do inside whether you take a class or go on the treadmill at the gym or even follow along to a YouTube video at home, don't use the weather as an excuse to simply not exercis...
