Weekend Wrap-Up May 21st
Song of the Week: Malibu~Miley Cyrus. I know i’m pretty shocked by this too. But it's a catchy feel good tune and I’m pretty sure this will be my song of the summer.
Currently Reading: The Hobbit. I started it over Easter and now that finals are over I’ve finally had time to read it. I’m loving it so far, this is the pinnacle of an epic fantasy adventure. Also I have been reading a lot of contemporary novels recently so this is a nice change of pace.
Quote of the Week: “This is the beginning of everything you want” This quote is extremely relevant to my life right now. I am in a lot of beginnings right now. Beginning of summer, beginning of my internship, and of course the beginning of this beautiful blog I have created and already love with my whole heart.
Life Update:This week concluded the second week of my summer internship. It was also the weekend of our summer exhibition at the museum. On Friday night we had a members gallery opening. This opening was so much fun because it was also my first night as a docent and even though I was very nervous about this beforehand, being a docent has become my favorite aspect of this internship. I just loved being able to interact with all the attendees and discuss the art with them, as well as help them with any questions they had. I can already tell this internship is going to keep me very busy and satisfied all summer long!
Outfit of the week: The dress I wore to the members opening at the art museum. It was a simple shift dress that I ended up borrowing from my mom (perks of having a fashionable mom who is also the same size of you.) I paired the dress with black boots and my hair tied half up with a bow in it. The bow and the dress made me feel like the character Kiki from Studio Ghibli’s Kiki’s Delivery Service. (BTW if you haven't seen this movie already, you really should. It is one of my favorite Studio Ghibli films!)
