A Night at the Cabaret


This week I decided to travel up to Granville Ohio to see a cabaret show with my mom. As much as I adore  all things theater and Broadway, this is not something  I do very often so I was very excited for this night. The cabaret was put on by the Weathervane Playhouse in Newark and was performed at the Granville Inn.


The performers were excellent and what was extra special was that the performers and other actors of the theater were sitting at the tables with us. Everyone I spoke to was excited and friendly so that really enhanced the experience. If you are ever in Newark I highly recommend seeing one of the musicals at the Weathervane Playhouse (I'm hoping to get tickets to Peter and the Starcatchers) or see their next summer cabaret show at the Granville Inn on July 17th. The dress I wore on this night is one of my new favorites. I think it is super flattering and the perfect dress for an event such as this.

My Fall Break: Doing All Things Autumn in One Weekend

Ya this is about a week late, sorry but I've been pretty busy (sadly my senior thesis isn't going to write itself) But I did recently have a great Fall Break back in Ohio. During this break I succeeded in my goal to do all things Fall related. I arrived Friday night, so first on Saturday I went to the farmers market with my friend Jess. Also on Saturday my dad and I went to the Ohio State game (my first time actually attending an OSU game if you can believe it). It was so much fun we walked around beforehand and checked out the tailgating scene. Going to Loyola I miss out on football tailgating so it was great to experience it. We also saw the marching band perform before the game which was also a great experience. The actual game was a lot of fun, even though it was pretty stressful. Im Back Baby!

Goodbye Ohio Hello Chicago! It feels so great to be back in the city to start another school year. Junior year honestly creeped up on me so quickly I'm still in shock. Every year I'm worried about adjusting back to city life after a whole summer back in my home town and every year the second I get back I am right back in the swing of things city views I can't wait to see what this school year has in store for me. New classes, New internships, Friends old and new, and New experiences galore.
