Birthdays and Bullet Journals

Happy June!
Not going to lie one of my favorite things about the beginning of a new month is being able to start a new bullet journal spread. I've said this before and I'll say it again, I am not an artist. My bullet journal is not necessarily pretty or extremely organized, but it does do its job of inspiring me to track my daily life and complete tasks. Also I like to change up my spread with different pages to see what works for me.

This month I have my usual Daily Tracker (Exercise, Morning Routine, Read) and a recap of daily activities and meals. I have also added some new pages I wanted to try out. One is called "Stories I Ate This Month" which I use to keep track of all of the books, movies, and TV seasons that I watch that month, I mainly use this one to track my reading but I also thought it'd be fun to add TV and movies. I also added an upcoming events page so that I can see a list of birthdays or events I hope to attend that month. This not only gets me excited for the month but it also stops me from double booking.

I had a Daily Positivity page last month and it is really great for me at the end of the day to look back and remember all of the fun or positive things that happened. Even on the worst or most mundane day I can find at least one positive thing to write down (even if its just that I enjoyed my lunch)

Besides working on my bullet journal, I also spent the last week celebrating my birthday. I turned 22 at the end of May and I can't believe I'm that old (I could have sworn I was 18 yesterday). I had a very lovely birthday. In the morning before work I had a nice chill breakfast at home with my parents (while watching Gilmore Girls of course) After work the celebrating truly started at Target, believe it or not, where we went ham in the $1-$5 section (I had originally gone in for just foundation, but you know how Target is). My mom and I then decided to pamper ourselves by each getting a pedicure (my feet really needed it). At night we went to one of my favorite restaurant Lindeys. Sparkling rose and salmon is one of my new favorite combos! We then ended the night with cheesecake and I can honestly say it was a great birthday!

What is your favorite thing about the beginning of a new month? Any fun summer plans in June? Let me know in the comments!
