Darren Criss + Lea Michele Concert
This past week I had the honor of witnessing two of the most talented performers in concert. My friends and I were lucky enough to witness both Darren Criss and Lea Michele in concert, a privilege I never thought I'd be able to experience. The concert was at the Ohio Theater (which of course is gorgeous) and we had such a wonderful time.
Back in the day we were all major Glee fans so it was really fun for this prior theater kid to be able to re-xperience it and remember how much I loved that show. Beforehand we had a great quick dinner at a place nearby called Market 65 which had a wide array of sandwiches, wraps, and salads (my Wakame Salad was excellent!) We of course took a ton of pictures before the show in order to commemorate the experience and our amazing outfits (I am obsessed with the back of this jumpsuit).
The actual show was amazing! They sang a mixture of their own original songs, covers from glee, and other covers that were all wonderful. Seeing Lea Michele sing Don't Rain on My Parade was definitely a major highlight, as well as hearing Darren Criss sing some of his older songs from his Starkid days. What was really special was that we each had a song that really stuck with us and that we had the biggest reaction to. This concert was not only a great blast from the past but also just amazing performances and heart from both Darren and Lea. Also on the way back we kept the nostalgia going by jamming to Glee songs as well as some other old favorites (Big Time Rush and Miley Cyrus anyone?) Overall it was such a fun night and I'm happy my friends and I were able to enjoy it so much and everything played out great!
Are you planning on going to any summer concerts? Were you a Glee fan back in the day? Let me know in the comments!
