Should I Just Move to Evanston?
Ok so sadly I don't have plans to move to Evanston anytime soon, but I did spend a good majority of my weekend there!
First on Saturday night some of my roommates and I went up to Northwestern to see a football game. Sadly Loyola doesn't have a team so Northwestern was our best (and closest) option for college football. Even before the game we had fun just walking around and people watching during the tailgate. We even participated in some tailgating activities at Wildcat Alley where there was a Photo Booth, face painting, corn hole, and we even got to listen to the Northwestern marching band before the game. Sadly the Wildcats did not win this one but it was still a fun game!
On Sunday I went back up to Evanston to meet up with some of my friends for brunch and shopping. We went to one of my favorite brunch spots, Cupitol where I of course got a Peach Bellini and a sweet potato bowl with a poached egg (Im pretty predictable when it comes to my brunch order). It was a beautiful day and we were lucky we didn't have to wait for a seat outside.
After brunch we walked around Evanston where I did some much needed shopping at Francesca's (again very predictable). They were having a Buy 1 Get 1 50% so I of course had to take advantage of that deal and get some great fall staples. We also stopped by Urban Outfitters and World Market where I was able to resist buying anything else. Which was actually pretty difficult considering World Market was fully stocked with Autumn and Halloween decorations and Urban had some great hair accessories.
I always enjoy my time up in Evanston its so pretty and has some of the best brunch spots and restaurants, but I am perfectly content for the time being in Rogers Park and can appreciate being close to both Evanston and Downtown Chicago.
What college football team do you root for? What is your go to brunch order? Let me know in the comments!!
