Lets Do The Time Warp Again!!: Halloween Weekend
BOO! Happy (almost) Halloween y'all! Now I'm not gonna lie Halloween kind of ended for me this weekend, but hey I still have some movies to watch so I guess not all the festivities have ended.
If you saw one of my posts from earlier this month then you've seen my festive autumn/Halloween decorations that I have in my apartment. Also though more recently I have added this adorable Halloween llama (who I obviously named Sabrina) and this Tiffany's inspired pumpkin that I painted. Sadly they were out of black paint :( I definitely had fun painting the pumpkin and I recommend pumpkin painting to anyone that lives in an apartment and doesn't want the place to smell like pumpkin for days or anyone who just doesn't wanna deal with the mess. Its fun, simple, and easy to clean up. Also if you don't have access to a pumpkin just color a picture of one! I found this template and colored myself a mermaid pumpkin.
This year for Halloween my friends and I decided to see a midnight showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show on the Saturday before. I have seen this movie several times but never with the performers or audience participation (we even got goodie bags full of props) When we got there we were marked as "virgins" because we had never been to a midnight show before, which is why for most of the night I had the giant V on my cheek. We all dressed up as characters from the movie and when I saw the movie in theaters a few years ago I was the maid Magenta. This year I took an opposite approach and dressed as Janet. The costume was really easy because I already had the dress and everything. You can't really tell but I even pinned my hair up to make it look shorter.
Seeing a midnight showing of Rocky Horror is an experience I definitely recommend. Its out there, campy, crazy and perfect for Halloween!!
Now like I said Halloween kind of ended for me this weekend which can only mean one thing...I am now in full CHRISTMAS mode!! So y'all better be ready ;)
What are your Halloween plans? Are you a fan of Rocky Horror? Let me know in the comments!!
