Lets Do The Time Warp Again!!: Halloween Weekend

Image
BOO! Happy (almost) Halloween y'all! Now I'm not gonna lie Halloween kind of ended for me this weekend, but hey I still have some movies to watch so I guess not all the festivities have ended. If you saw one of my posts from earlier this month then you've seen my festive autumn/Halloween decorations that I have in my apartment. Also though more recently I have added this adorable Halloween llama (who I obviously named Sabrina) and this Tiffany's inspired pumpkin that I painted. Sadly they were out of black paint :( I definitely had fun painting the pumpkin and I recommend pumpkin painting to anyone that lives in an apartment and doesn't want the place to smell like pumpkin for days or anyone who just doesn't wanna deal with the mess. Its fun, simple, and easy to clean up. Also if you don't have access to a pumpkin just color a picture of one! I found this template and colored myself a mermaid pumpkin. This year for Halloween my friends and I decided to s...

My Fall Break: Doing All Things Autumn in One Weekend

Image
Ya this is about a week late, sorry but I've been pretty busy (sadly my senior thesis isn't going to write itself) But I did recently have a great Fall Break back in Ohio. During this break I succeeded in my goal to do all things Fall related. I arrived Friday night, so first on Saturday I went to the farmers market with my friend Jess. Also on Saturday my dad and I went to the Ohio State game (my first time actually attending an OSU game if you can believe it). It was so much fun we walked around beforehand and checked out the tailgating scene. Going to Loyola I miss out on football tailgating so it was great to experience it. We also saw the marching band perform before the game which was also a great experience. The actual game was a lot of fun, even though it was pretty stressful. Even though it was 80 degrees it was still a perfect fall activity. Also that weekend my family and I went to a corn maze and market. The corn maze itself was fun (not very decorated or diffi...

Hello October and Halloween Decor

Image
Its finally October and you know what that means...it's time to get spooky y'all! I love holidays and all things festive, so you know I'm gonna go all out this month for Halloween. My bullet journal is the same as it was last month so I'm not really going to talk about that but here is my cover page with my usual doodles that look like they were done by a 6 year old. One addition though that I thought would be fun is that I decided to try to watch one Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode each day in October (I think there are about 30) and I have that in my habit tracker. So lets see if I can actually accomplish this along with the huge list of other Halloween specials and movies I just HAVE to watch each year. Now onto the decorations! Maybe in a later blog post I will do an official apartment tour but for now I'm solely focusing on my Halloween decor. I have decorated my room as well as the living room area of my apartment. Most of the decorations are from Tar...

Should I Just Move to Evanston?

Image
Ok so sadly I don't have plans to move to Evanston anytime soon, but I did spend a good majority of my weekend there! First on Saturday night some of my roommates and I went up to Northwestern to see a football game. Sadly Loyola doesn't have a team so Northwestern was our best (and closest) option for college football. Even before the game we had fun just walking around and people watching during the tailgate. We even participated in some tailgating activities at Wildcat Alley where there was a Photo Booth, face painting, corn hole, and we even got to listen to the Northwestern marching band before the game. Sadly the Wildcats did not win this one but it was still a fun game! On Sunday I went back up to Evanston to meet up with some of my friends for brunch and shopping. We went to one of my favorite brunch spots, Cupitol where I of course got a Peach Bellini and a sweet potato bowl with a poached egg (Im pretty predictable when it comes to my brunch order). It was a bea...

Chicago to China

Image
Hey! So I am continuing to enjoy my time in Chicago and this past weekend I actually went to Chinatown, which I haven't been to in what feels like forever! It was definitely a fun day and worth the almost hour long El ride. Even though it is still pretty early in September it is full fledge fall here in Chicago. Thanks to the crisp chill in the air, I am also finally able to bust out my fall wardrobe. And with red being a lucky color in China (which I actually remembered once I got to Chinatown) what would be more fitting than my new red jacket from Target ! Seriously Target is still killing it with the clothes! Also worth noting that I have found the perfect spot for #OOTD photos in my building, so if you follow me on social media you can probably expect more of those! Once we were in Chinatown we basically walked around and checked out some of the stores. They were all full of fun Chinese and Asian souvenirs as well as a few Chicago souvenirs (obviously). We also went into ...
